A key element for the success of multilingual conferences is professional simultaneous interpretation. Interpreters are the link between people speaking different languages. They allow accurate communication between conference participants.

Interpretation is different from translation. The latter is written and done by translators. Interpretation is simultaneous verbal translation of proceedings at a conference. Simultaneous interpretation takes place at the same time a participant is speaking and thus saves time. It requires not only a perfect command of two or more languages, but also a specialised post-graduate university training, a quick nimble mind and a great amount of knowledge and experience of many subjects.
